Mother’s Day is coming up (It’s on Sunday May 8th if you needed a reminder!) and what better way to spoil your Mum than to make her a special yet fuss free Mother’s day lunch.
It has become a tradition in my family that I make my Mum a Mother’s Day lunch each year. I usually like to do a hot dish with some fresh sides, a decadent dessert and something delicious to drink. We sit out on the deck whatever the weather and have one of those long lunches with lots of good food and good wine. This year I have asked my blogger friends to help me come up with the Mother’s day lunch ideas!
Shaved Purple Asparagus Asian Vegetable Soba Noodles from Strength and Sunshine is a healthy and creative salad option
Or you may like The Flavor Blender’s version of Roasted Panzenella Salad with Balsamic Honey Mustard Dressing which has juicy sausages in it!
If you want to be sure to cater for the meat lovers and health conscious alike – why not try my Lamb Quinoa Salad
I don’t think you can go too wrong with a tart for lunch and my Easy Cheesy Smoked Salmon Tarts are certainly fuss-free!
Perhaps you are looking for some hot vegetable sides? Well here is the ideal recipe – 10 Minute Creamy Vegan Bean and Aubergine Casserole from Lauren Caris Cooks
If you would like a non-alcoholic and refreshing option why not try my Berry Mint Ice Tea
Hopefully this selection of Mother’s day lunch ideas have given you the inspiration to make a truly wonderful lunch. Happy Mother’s day to all the wonderful Mum’s out there (especially my Mum!)
